I haven't really been paying much attention to Magic lately. I only just found out that Alara Reborn was an entirely gold set (pretty crazy...) But I was browsing around and I found that Black Knight is going to be reprinted. Pretty cool in my opinion, would love to see those quick black beatdown decks start showing up again. Anyways, here's a picture. The art is pretty good. Not sure if it's very black knight-y but I like it anyways.

When I first read that message I had no idea what you were talking about, and then I saw that core sets aren't going to be 100 percent reprints anymore. That's awesome. I love that core sets will have new and unique cards printed in them. Now they can finally print cards that aren't forced to fit into the themes of the current sets. They'll be able to "respond" to the decks that are dominating T2 without wasting slots in the actual sets, and hopefully they'll print some fun casual cards too. Like, maybe some tribal cards in a race that hasn't been featured in the tribal blocks (I'd love to see some tribal Minotaur cards myself) And yea, the dual lands should be cool too. Too bad I haven't been able to play so it won't really make a different for me either way.

Are they going to be old-school dual lands, or have some sort of drawback like the crap they've been printing since Ice Age?

They'll have a drawback. The old duals were AMAZING, but there is one major problem with them...they make basic lands useless. If you are playing a 2 color deck, why would you use basic lands when you can add the duals? Yes, you are limited to 4, but I have to agree with wizards that the old duals are a little bit overpowered. I think the idea is that basic lands should be your primary source, and if a land get's to add a 2nd color then you have to pay a price for it. I'd LOVE it if they were the old ones though, that'd be awesome. More likely, they'll have some sort of drawback. Maybe they will be like Nimbus Maze. If you haven't seen that card, Pinata, check it out... (don't worry Pinata, they didn't change the borders, this border was just used on a small number of cards in the Future Sight set. ) It's the perfect mana fixer. If you have a plains, it fixes you with islands. If you have an island, it fixes you with plains. It has a "drawback" because it doesn't work very well in 3 color decks. Also, if you have a plains, and you need 2 plains on the 2nd turn, it won't work because it will only be able to add islands. It's a good dual land that isn't TOO powerful. It does exactly what it intends to do, it fixes your mana if you get mana screwed. I like it...but I'd rather have the pain lands for 3-color decks. It's a future-shifted card though, so maybe it'll see print in a future set in a full cycle.

It is a good card. Did they make them for every color combination?

Nope, but many of the cards printed with that funny border was supposed to be a 'hint' at future sets, so it's possible it could see print in a full cycle. Also, HOLY CRAP they are reprinting Ball Lightning yay! Also, W00T the duals are awesome in my opinion, see: They are almost like the originals, but they come into play tapped on the first turn. AWESOME! Though I still prefer the pain lands in 3+ color decks.

No word yet on whether they're will be just 5 allied colored lands or if they are going to make 10.
Lightning Bolt is rumored to be making a comeback.
Its been confirmed that the original 5 planeswalkers from Lorwyn are to be reprinted in M10 and are mythic rares now.

Hopefully they'll make enemy-colored lands too. Red/white and green/black are very powerful combinations. Regarding Lightning Bolt: It's about Forking time. I have nothing to say about the Planeswalkers, since all my friends stopped playing way before Lorwyn came out so now I only get to play in the Pack Wars games here.

And now it's confirmed that Lightning Bolt is reprinted. The art looks pretty sweet on it.

Damn, I didn't expect them to be reprinting Lightning bolt. They are DEFINITELY trying to weaken blue control and support the other colors. Very nice.
