The Last Game You Beat thread is nice when you finish a game to tell people how you liked it and whatnot, however alot of games just don't end. So I thought I'd make this thread to post games you've been playing alot of lately, whether they are endless or you are just plain stuck, tell us where you are!
PC:
I am currently a level 2 Orc in my recently acquired Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. I've only done a few jobs in the main quest and a few in the fighters guild, however I'm really enjoying the game. It's very fun, when it isn't crashing.
PS3:
I'm a level 16 man in Fallout 3, who specializes in Science, Repair, Small Guns, and I used a perk to allow me to pick a 4th specialization, Lockpicking. The game is fantastic, see my post in the Oblivion thread.
I am 6-1 in my Madden NFL '09 season with the Falcons. I've won ALOT of close games, the 6-1 looks pretty but I could just as easily be at least 3-4 with some of the games I've had, including 1 overtime win. The game is great, when people get tackled it just doesn't go through some pre-determined animation, people actually fall and move depending on what direction they get hit from, as well as the speed and angle. Also, if one guy is knocking someone over from the left and another hits from the right, the person will actually react and change direction from the second hit. The difficulty is also great, constantly adjusting to your level of gameplay so it is constantly a challenge. If you've been wanting a new Madden game, now is the time to buy (or wait until next year when the Falcons are better. *cough*)
I am currently tearing my way through Soul Calibur IV. The graphics are stunning. They once again figured out a way to keep the gameplay fresh. Now you can edit each character's equipment(like the custom-character creation in III, but with the actual characters) and all the equipment you can choose from has bonus stats. For example the Executioner set (which Astaroth starts out using in 1 of the default outfits) gives strength bonus'. However, when you are fighting, if a piece of armor is hit enough times it will actually break off, and you will lose that bonus. Also, when creating/editing a character, you can choose speical abilities. Like "Nullify Ring Out" means if you get knocked out, you don't die(I think) and "Unblockable attack B" means your B attack is unblockable. There are ALL kinds of abilties, so you can really customize a character to your play style. It's great. Another thing is now whenever an attack is blocked you charge up a "soul gauge" and when that fills up you can unleash a super-powerful attack, which I haven't managed to do yet so it isn't too over-powered.
Oh, and PINATA!!!: If you liked Ivy before, you should see her bounce around in HD. It's amazing. Oh, and if you read the above paragraph and were wondering, YES, if you knock the armor off a female, she DOES fight in her bra.
