(OOC: I had a good one, and then it disappeared. *sighs*)
*looks at Bass*
Elfie: Huh. Comforting.
*walks in*
Seeress: Why are you here? Elfie: *blinks in confusion* Aren't you supposed to answer that? Seeress: How did you get here? Elfie: Aren't you supposed to know all this? Seeress: I don't waste my time with beings of low importance. Elfie: And I'm a being of low importance? Seeress: Of course you are. How did you get to be the most powerful on your plane? Elfie: I convinced the more powerful people to leave. Is that going to be a problem? Seeress: Quiet. I need to think. Elfie: Would you like me to just sit quietly? Seeress: Shh! Elfie: I'll take that as a yes.
*outside*
DA: That Elfie guy has been in the for a long time. Scythe: I'll bet he gets all the good adventures. Piñata: Well there's no doubt that he'll be important.
*inside, ten minutes of total silence later*
Elfie: So I'm not going to be very important to this adventure, am I. Seeress: You'ren't a planeswalker. Elfie: Yes. That's true. Seeress: Your power pales in comparison to everyone else. Elfie: Lovely. Seeress: You're mortal. Elfie: So? Seeress: You can't even shift planes. Elfie: *pulls out a device* Not quite true, but by all means continue telling me how useless I am. Seeress: You can't breath underwater. You can't walk on fire. You can't fly. Elfie: *thinks of various devices he owns* Well you're right. I can't, but I can design things that do. Seeress: That's not good enough. Elfie: Okay. Seeress: Listen, I'm going to be quite honest with you. I can't see everyone's future. Elfie: So you have no idea what to tell me? Seeress: No, just planeswalkers, which is why I dismiss everyone else as unimportant. Elfie: So I likely will have no bearing whatsoever on this adventure? Seeress: You're a wildcard. Elfie: Right. Makes sense. Can I go home then? Seeress: No. Elfie: Why not? Seeress: That's a secret. Elfie: But you already told me you don't know anything about my future. You're just bluffing in case I'm important. Seeress: But... Elfie: Alright. Alright. I'll go. Seeress: Why? You could just as easily go home. Elfie: You convinced me. Seeress: I did? Elfie: Sure. Why not? Seeress: Don't you have anything better to do? Elfie: I just spent half an hour talking to a fortune-teller who can't tell my fortune. Do I honestly look like I have anything better to do? Seeress: The future would be clearer if you stayed out and went home. Elfie: Would it be a good future? Seeress: Good would prevail. Elfie: At what cost? Seeress: What do you mean? Elfie: Well how many people would die to make good win? Seeress: That's irrelevant. Elfie: Right...I think I'll go along, just in case. Seeress: You're making a mistake. Elfie: We'll see. *realizes the Seeress is blind* Fine, I'll see. Seeress: You are a stupid, stupid man. Elfie: I'm a stupid, stupid man who got you to give away your powers' shortcomings. What does that say about you? Seeress: ... Elfie: Sorry. That was rather rude. Best of luck to you in the future, whatever it turns out to be.
*turns to walk away*
Seeress: The logic and words you've used here will not help you in battle. Elfie: Not all battles are fought with swords. Seeress: And those that are? Elfie: I'll take my chances.
*continues to walk away*
Seeress: ...good luck... Elfie: Thanks.

*Apey passes by the elf-dude as he walks out the door. The elf-guy nods, but Apey just walks straight into the doorway, ignoring everything arround him and not saying a word*
*Apey walks into the room, his eyes adjust instantly since he's spent so long in the darkness. He sees the seeress but says nothing, waiting for her to say something*
... Apey: ... hello? *ApeKiller reveals his fangs, in hopes to scare the seer into talking*
Seeress: I already know you are a bloodsucker, and that you will not hurt me
Apey: So what am i to do?
Seeress: You want to know where the others of your race are, correct?
Apey: Yes, you know where the others are...tell me
Seeress: There aren't others.
Apey: You're lying! *Apey begins too look angry as veins begins to show in his neck and face. He reopens his mouth and it seems as though his already long teeth grow*
Seeress: You were to be their new leader, you were to lead them in battle. But you ignored them. You thought they had forgotten you, but instead you ignored the visions in your dreams. You were to win a war against the treefolk. Instead your race was wiped out
Apey: Where are they...the treefolks. They will pay!!
Seeress: You will later find out. Go back to the others, there is nothing left to talk about.
*Apey turns, still filled with anger and veins still pulsing. Apey exits the room*

Janus Wilder is seen leaning on a wall in the back of the room hiding his face. After the others have seen the seeress however, he stands straight up with a look of fury in his eyes. The man pulls out his magical sword and begins to levitate over to Morbaruk. When he finally reaches him he looks Morbaruk in the eye and says.
Janus Wilder: You expect me to believe this little fairy tale of yours? Oh, and there are many other dimensions and planes out there with different beings? I don't believe people who send others to knock innocents out and bring them to their homes!! Tell me why I should even stay here and not just go back home?! It can't be that far from here...

::the mighty planeswalker looked amused::
"Not that far is it? Let me show you just how far...."
::Mor'Baruk made a motion with his hands, and a diagram appeared hovering in the air. On it there were myriad pinpoints of light-planes-and two were flashing. Mor'Baruk pointed to one near the far side of the diagram::
"You are here."
::he then pointed to the other, almost completely across the multiverse.::
"And your plane is here. It's not exactly what you would call, walking distance.::at this he smiled:: Unless of course you are a planeswalker, then it's 'walking distance.
::the dark lord grew serious now::
"You are here because I had a feeling of dread. I found the seeres, of whose abilities I had long known, and asked her to tell me what I was experienceing. She did, and instructed me to gather a party of powerful ebings from as many inhabited planes as I could sed my scouts to. There are so few of you because some planes are filled with nought but mortals, and weak ones. Whuile some of you are still mortal, you are very powerful. I am in truth surprised to see planeswalkers here, as most of my brethren would show disdain for such a quest, even though it shall affect the entire multiverse. But the point is, you are needed. There are no others as strong as those of you in this room, and only the strong can prevail in this quest."

Elf-Girl: Hey! What about me? Morb: Go home. Elf-Girl: What if I want to help? Morb: *sighs* I said, GO HOME! *unleashes a spell to transport her back to her world* Elf-Girl: *deflects the spell into a scout, who disappears mysteriously* No. Morb: That's impossible. Elf-Girl: Besides, if I want to go home I'll walk. Morb: You can't. You're on a different plane. Elf-Girl: You think I don't know that? If I want to go home I'll walk, but right now I'm going to visit that seeress you've brought in.
*begins to walk into the seeress' chambers*
Morb: *realizes that the Elf-Girl was the most powerful on the plane* YOU!! *points at Elfie* You shouldn't be here. You tricked my scout into bringing you! Elfie: Tricked is a slight exageration. I just let his preconceptions of me work against him. Morb: You should never have even been here! *unleashes the same spell this time on Elfie* Elf-Girl: *sends a deflection spell across the room to protect Elfie and redirect the spell at another scout, who also disappears* Didn't I tell you? He's coming with me. Morb: *raises his hands* Elf-Girl: I'd advise against it. You're running out of scouts. Besides, he'll be useful. Trust me. *walks into the seeress' chambers* Elfie: *scratches back of head uncomfortably* Yeah, so I guess I'm going with you guys, huh. Piñata: I don't think you have a choice. Elfie: Lovely.

*ApeKiller stands in the center of the room. Not saying anything, not moving anything, just starring into space. He keeps hearing Mor'Baruk's speech replay in his head...There are no others as strong as those of you in this room.*
*'its all that freak in the woods' fault" Apey thought. He knew it, he wouldn't be in this mess if it wasn't for that guy. And yet Apey doesn't know his purpose without this guy...and the guy was wiped out by a race of tree people, something Apey has only heard of in fairytales...just like...the vampires...*
*ApeKiller snaps to attention to see Pinata looking at him. Apey felt a connection with him...maybe the have the same destiny...maybe they were meant to work together...Apey starts to speak, but is afraid to open his mouth. Usually when he does that, people just run off screaming "Bloodsucker!!". ApeKiller looks down and stares at the floor, trying to ignore everyone arround him and wishing he could be alone again, back in his temple*

Piñata sees the pale, sinister being he noticed earlier giving him a strange, almost searching look from across the room. When Piñata meets his gaze, however, the other quickly lowers his eyes. With a sudden flash of insight, Piñata realizes that the unusual being is worried that the others will be afraid of him. Never pausing to think that there might actually be a reason to fear this man, Piñata walks across the room to him and introduces himself.

Elf-Girl: ...or not... Elfie: I wonder what we're waiting for anyway.
(OOC: Am I right in assuming that's what we were waiting for, because I had thought before that Morb could just have her come out whenever and start the adventure, but I guess I've got to control her at all times.)

Janus Just looks at Morbauruk with a look of anger and fustration, but quickly walks away and into the seeress's room.
Janus Wilder: Ok, lets get this over with so I can go back. Seeress: Patience is a virtue. Janus Wilder: I don't want any lectures right now. I have to get back to my "plane". Seeress: You must believe in these stories or else you might never get back. Janus Wilder: I said no lectures!!! The seeress sits there with her eyes closed sitting in silence Janus: Hey grams? Did you hear me? seeress: The bandits are more then they seem. You will gain the knowledge soon. Janus: Bandits?! What do you know about those bandits?! silence Janus: Grams!!! Janus reaches his hand to touch her shoulder but a force of lightning stops him, and he pulls back his hand fast. Janus:... Janus heads back out into the hall walking very slowly, looking at his hand.

Post by Uurion on Sept 16, 2004 3:06:01 GMT -5
The time had long passed since Uurion found himself at ease around other people. His sense of right and wrong had long ago strengthened to a crystaline code inside of him. Always he could remeber laying his life on the line, to help even those who could not help themselves. Such times Uurion remebered well, as opposed to his recent sorrows. Such death and unhappyness always followed those that gave their lives to others. He could still remember the feelings he felt. Anger, unplacable Horror, Sorrow beyond the limits of sanity, the sharp bite of guilt weighed heavily on his soul. He could still remember the sensations; he held him close, as the blood drained from his best friend, down Uurion's arms, stomach and legs. He heaved as his last breathe was drawn...and released. Uurion felt the bitterness that had held him by the throat for the last 5 years well up in him again. He had been rewarded so often by the heavens for his work, and yet he had lost the only person that he could ever rememer being there for him. he had given his life to the Service, and had lost his reason for doing so. The bond Uurion still held from his brother was dead now. Uurion kept the wound in his soul open, to remind himself of his world shattering mistake. Once upon a time, Uurion had forged the bond to his brother, so that they could fight evil in unison. It used to tranfer their emotions to each other, their thoughts. It had been Uurion's moral compass for five years. Until that fateful night.
Uurion had went to bed ealier than his brother had. As he lay in bed, he remembered the event three years before that had claimed his parents. As he remembered the tragic past, he began to drift off to sleep. As the Demon charged his villiage, his family had gathered up their one important belonging, a small red crystal that was said to be the key to the heart, and fled the villiage. As Uurion looked back, he saw the man-demon; slaughtering, killing everything he knew. As he watched the carnage, The Demonic man looked up, and their eyes met in a terrible jolt that flushed every hope of happiness from Uurion. The demon charged. With a roar like death, the demon came at him. In his haste to get away, Uurion felt the tree root catch his foot. As he fell, the tree root wrapped around his foot, causing his to spin in mid-air. As he hit the ground, landing on his back, he knew he was dead. The Demon came down at him. And yet, this time was different. Something was different; Uurion didn't feel so helpless. Finally he seen it, just in time to snatch it out of the dirt and impale the demon as it came down on him. The sword slid home far too easily. With a horrible shock, Uurion woke to find his bed covered in blood, his brother standing beside his bed, staring in wide eyed horror at the sword hilt protruding from his chest. Uurion could still remember the peircing scream that broke from him, as his brother fell. Uurion could still remember the words his brother whispered as he died. Uurion could still remember-
Uurion looked up from the shadows of the small corner he had quitely occupied during the exchanges around the room. From the door in the center of the room, stepped a man, staring intently at his hand. As the man left the door, Uurion stood from his crouched and stretched out his back and wings. As he walked forward, he looked over his shoulder at his left wing. It still had not healed completely from the last demonic attack he had fought off. A small tear could be seen through the black and red feathers covering the massive wings. It would be days yet before Uurion could fly again. Slowly, Uurion made his way to the door. As he reached it, a terrible sense of forbodding settled on his shoulders, heaving his stomach. As he stepped through the door, he folded his wings against his back.
As he stepped into the room, he became aware of the woman pacing through the room. Looking back at the door, he wondered if she had acted like this to the others. Slowly, she came to a halt in the center of the room, as far from him as she could have been. Her voice was soft when she spoke, but her words left her mouth like the crack of a whip.
"Uurion Kinslayer. I knew you would come."
Uurion's Stomach turned in rage as the woman spoke that name. The only sign he gave that he had heard her words was a small fluttering of his wings. Uurion readjusted his wings to sit against his back, underneath his waist length white hair.
"How dare you say such to me, My Mistress?" Uurion instantly hated this woman, but he would not throw away respect.
"It is but the truth." She looked at him with an odd light in her eyes. "So now the time of you prohiecy has come. I am to tell you what I see." She sounded as if he would be better off dead.
Uurion stood quitely, waiting for the axe to fall, and when it did, he was left breatheless, stuned by the injustice and cruelty with which the world dealt to it's protectors.
"You will find someone to fill in the gap in your soul. He will fill the bond and you will betray his just cause and slide the knife into his back." With that, she sat down and fell into meditation.
Silently, without hope for the future, Uurion turned and stepped back out of the door.

Crystal, although it makes little difference. And, judging by the exchange between you, "Lord" Morbaruk, and the Elven female, I highly doubt you're the protector of it as well. I, on the other hand, am, and as such I have far more important things to do than sit around in a room with a bunch of psychopaths, killers, and freaks and wait for a demonic and corrupt "Lord" to lead us on some God-forsaken quest. Unfortunately, my present situation does not lend itself to doing anything else. Therefore, I'm here...but only for as long as I need to be. Now let's get on with it already!

Elfie: Oh, you're right of course. I can't possbily understand your predicament, but I can give you some advice. Don't trip.
*Bass starts forward*
Bass: What does that - *trips on a loose stone on the floor* Elfie: That's what that means. Bass: You're psychic! Elfie: No. Bass: Don't deny it. Elfie: No really, I just noticed that rock directly between you and me and figured you wouldn't bother to watch where you're going and trip on it if you approached me. Bass: Are you suggesting I'm not aware of my surroundings? Elfie: One of us tripped, and it's not my knees with the dirt on them. Bass: Somebody needs to teach you some respect. Elfie: I have respect. I told you not to trip. You tripped because you got angry about my advice rather than accept it. Bass: What's your point? Elfie: My point is that you didn't return the respect I was offering you, which caused you to trip. Bass: So? Morb: So the two of you should be quiet. You *points at Bass* respect the other members of this group, and you *points at Elfie* you're lucky you've got that woman protecting you. Elfie: Believe me, luck has nothing to do with it.
