Wii is Forking amazing. I got a 360 a while back and these days its damn good because of the games out for it. From what I know of the ps3, don't Forking bother. Wait, huh? Where did you hear this at? The PS3 has had the most successful launch out of the 3 consoles. When the 360 was launched it was chaos. Thousands of people were disappointed with consoles that DIDN'T WORK! And shitty 360s are still being found. Some people have what they thought were perfectly good 360's...until they try to play games like Oblivion, then all of a sudden their 360 poops out and stops working. And as for the Wii...the straps are breaking. People are breaking their TVs because the Wii mote straps are breaking, sending the controller flying at the screen. Its very possible to break something while playing a Wii. The PS3 has had little problems. I'm not sure whats wrong with the Media. There has been so much bad press for the PS3...its ridiculous. The only complaint one could muster up is the price tag. But lets put that in perspective. Your probably going to be using these consoles for AT LEAST 5 years. 360: $400 5 years of X-box live: Around $250 Total cost: Around $650 PS3: $600 5 years of online play: FREE Total cost: $600 So the price is invalid, as in the long run its obviously much cheaper. The PS3 is a technically superior console, every aspect of the PS3 surpasses the Xbox. From the frame rates to the pixels to the Forking noise the 360 belches out. I say don't buy the 360. Its competitive right now, but you have to remember that the 3 is only at launch. Do you remember when the Ps2 launched? Yea...we were playing games like Smugglers run. Compare that game to Flatout 2. The developers are in the early stages, and despite the lack of experience with the 3, the graphics are still equivalent to the 360. Next year around this time there will be alot of unhappy 360 owners with their obsolete consoles. But i'm not buying either for awhile, the 360 could still surprise me if Microsoft could actually pull themselves together. And as for the Wii...i don't recommend it. Its a gimmick, like the DS. When the DS came out everyone thought it was so "innovative" and amazing. It was taking gaming in a different direction. People loved it...for about 3 months. Then they realized their DS sucked. People are disappointed with the DS because the mechanics just don't work. The same will happen for this Wii-Mote. Its fun and interesting now...but give it a few months and you'll be bored. Its a good 2nd console to have, but if its the only console you have...then you'll most likely be disappointed.

Yea but isn't that the point? I mean if i'm given an interactive remote that lets me swing the remote as if i was really playing tennis, then guess what...i want to swing it like i was playing tennis! Its exactly how Nintendo advertised it in their commercial. People were jumping around the room and swinging the controller over their head.
And if your telling me that when playing a Wii-Sports game that i'm only suppose to swing my wrist, then what fun is that? Its like giving me a racing game but telling me i have to go slow, or giving me a First Person Shooter but telling me i can only use the combat knife. If Nintendo expects me to use the controller in obscure ways, at least let me swing like its advertised.
I know you're a fan of Nintendo Sean, but if you're going to get one i strongly suggest at least waiting a few months to see what happens with it. We all know the Wii-Mote was a gimmick, just like the dual-screen handheld. I gotta keep using that as an example, what happens when the gimmick is spent? After people get tired of swinging the remote all over the place, is Nintendo going to have the ability to make decent games without using the strange controller? They sure are having a hard time doing that with the DS.

Now that I have 2 out of the 3 systems, I think I can give a more fair assessment. My initial opinions were correct, man the Wii is pretty bad. Graphics are about as realistic as my chances of sleeping with <insert your favorite super model here.> After playing this/ this/ this then seeing this/ this, all I can do is *smackledorf* myself to death. Wii Sports is fun though.
