So one of the things that makes the original multilands overpowered is that they count as both land types. For example, underground sea counts as both a swamp and an island. So not only does it provide both types of mana, but it counts for anything that affects or requires a swamp or an island. Plus, anything that tutors for a swamp or an island can get it too.
What if Wizards made a NBL that produced only one of the types of mana, but counted for the other. For example, something like this:
Rotting Trees Land Add B to your mana pool This land counts as a forest
For all intents and purposes, this land would be a swamp. It would produce only black mana. However, it would count for things like Ambush Commander and Blanchwood Armor, and could be tutored for by Wood Elves and Land Grant. I don't think that this card would be particularly overpowered, but it would help out in multicolored decks, and could be a great card for some gimmick decks.
What do you think?
If somebody already came up with this idea somewhere, my apologies.

No, i don't think they have. Genius idea, IMO.
It'd have to beither between friendly lands or enemy lands only in one set, though, not all at the same time. That'd make people go <_>
