Well, ever since I was a newblet and looking for precons to buy, and our local ghost pointed out that Spectral Slam had virtually unkillable creatures, I was hooked on phantoms. I bought Spectral Slam, I played it, I modified it, I got bored, I out it away. Then the local JSS qualifier came up, and I didn't know what to play. I had revived the phantoms in various forms from time to time, occaisionally adding in some spikes for some neat interactions, and thye seemed to do ok in my play group, so since they were T2 legal, I brought version of the deck. I mamaged to place ninth, not bad for my first (and so far only) T2, and then put the phantoms away again. Now, with the release of Mirrodin, I have renewed interest in them. So I remade my phantoms yet again, in this, what I believe to be my best version:
---Land---
12x Forest
8x Plains
---Creature Spells---
4x Phantom Nantuko
4x Phantom Nomad
2x Phantom Flock
2x Krakilin
4x Phantom Centaur
1x Seedborn Muse
1x Triskelion
1x Pentavus
3x Spike Rogue
2x Wurmskin Forger
---Other Spells---
4x Battlegrowth
1x Soul Foundry
2x Dragon Blood
4x Explosive Veggies
3x Thrive
2x Slagwurm Armor
2x Journey Of Discovery
2x Neurok Hoversail
Yes, its over 60, but it doesn't really impede it in any way. I really, thouroughly(sp) enjoy this deck, it's great fun(if a little Timmy-ish) to roll over opponents with 20/20 flying, trampling spirits, or 20 1/1 flying pentavites, or to simply shoot someone for 20 off Triskelion. All are possible in this deck, and so far in playtesting, I've managed to make them work. So, tell me what you think.
