It seems this revival of The Conclave came at a great time, because Magic is about to get super nostalgic. For the first time in over a decade, we're returning to Dominaria! We don't know the time period exactly, except it's some time after the last time it was destroyed (in Time Spiral) and the plan is almost fully recovered or something? Anyway, it doesn't seem like it's taking place on a specific continent, but is going to be plane-wide. We've seen Keld and Tolaria and I believe there is even a leaked card involving Chainer which is exciting for me personally.
Anyway, here's the trailer if you want to check it out:

Now that I re-watch it, I'm pretty sure that Serra at the end with the floating islands, right?

That's pretty awesome. But I thought Serra was dead.

I meant Serra as in her realm, sorry. The end where you see Karn's hand floating in the sky before it zooms out has the floating islands* and whatnot.
*And by "islands" I mean "plains," dammit.

Hmm. I don't think it was Serra's Realm, because Urza collapsed that plane in order to power the Weatherlight if I remember correctly.

Yeah, it's hard to say with the old storyline because of all the timeline shenanigans that happened in Time Spiral. Things are weird on Dominaria, and I admittedly never read the Time Spiral books to know what was left of it after those events. Anyway, here's a reference of Serra's realm. If it IS the Serra realm, then it looks a lot more...industrialized.

If Serra's Realm wasn't collapsed in this timeline, but was still attacked and corrupted by Phyrexia, then it'd be more industrialized.

Yeah, kind of weird, but I love the flavor of it. So we now know for sure that the set is going to be taking place in the future of Dominaria and all the old lore is being memorialized like this. Also, if anyone likes playing mono green, holy crap! Also, the official visual spoiler thing is out, so if you want to see the cards as they are prevewed, here's the link: magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/card-image-gallery/dominaria

I still love mono green. That's a pretty good card.

This is really exciting! I've been building a ton of decks and really getting into it lately, and yeah that definitely looks like an industrialized Serra's realm to me.

The made a goddamn Homarid! Totally unexpected. It seems like one of those silly creature types from the very early days of Magic that they would rather forget...but nope, here it is!

Also Jaya Ballard is an old woman now.

I don't like Planeswalkers aging. It just doesn't seem right.

I think some of the newer Planeswalkers are still mortal and age normally....Not sure about Jay Ballard though being she is from the ice age.

The Mending affected all Planeswalkers. Look at the illustration on the new Jaya card for proof.
