First, I play Divine Light. Then, I sacrifice Bloodfire Dwarf, dealing 1 damage to each non-flying creature. (Divine Light prevents damage done to my creatures this turn). Wait for responses.
Note: I will not be sac'ing the Dwarf if the Light is countered.

What's the ruling on summoning sickness? Can my Intrepid Hero tap before he dies, since it's no longer my turn? Or would he have to wait till my next turn?

Bass is right, Here is what it says in the Comprehensive Rules as proof.
So it loses summoning sickness at the beginning of your next turn.
