Vote. I gotta go with DS9, if for no other reason than my girl Kira.

wow these votes are really divided.
Voyager is awesome and Next Generation comes in second. I really dont like Enterprise at all. Anyone know that the name and singer of the song for Enterprise is?

You just can't beat William Shattner, I'm sorry.

You just can't beat William Shattner, I'm sorry. In TOS, yes you can. he was simply a bad actor in a mediocre show In the movies, no. They played on every personality quirk that shatner/kirk had from TOS and amplified more so, making it funny and unique rather than just bad acting. "Lemmie guess, you're from outer space" "No, I'm from Iowa, I only work in outer space" "everybody remember where we parked" "he did too much LDS back in the 60s"

I have only seen ST in passing, whilst zapping through different shows, and it never occured to me that it might be FUNNY? Is it actually a fun show, because I always had it figured for a stiff, Sci-Fi story.

The later spin-off series are a lot funnier, but they did use humor even in TOS (as Devo so confusingly called it -- I wondered for a full minute why we were discussing Tales of Symphonia on this thread ). However, it is more serious than Star Wars.

Shatner is great in that new series, Boston Legal, actually.

Yes, he is. I was wondering how long it was going to take for someone besides me to say that.

IMO the absolute pinnacle of Star Trek was Star Trek IV: the Voyage Home. A lot of good humor in that one. Ironically, this movie has next to none of that which we identify most with Star Trek-The Starship Enterprise. That's not to say that there is not a significant amount of "the" Enterprise, though

Finals. If you think that studying for or taking finals is hard, try writing them and them grading them sometime

As much as I appreciate the offer, I'll pass - thanks. Not that I'll pass my finals...

I admin a website. Oh, you meant something I get paid to do? Does prize money from bowling and karaoke contests count? Yeah, I'm between jobs right now. But I don't wish I had done more homework and less muff diving. Eventually I'll get a book published. And it'll be better than anything those snobby college authors can produce.

You bet. The TV series aren't particularly amusing, but the movies generally have some great lines in them.
