I have a feeling that defender of the meek could be abused, like Defender of the Meek + Pandemonium + some sort of sac engine like nantuko husk... essentially 1 mana for a repeatable fling.

Great job on the Defender Bass. Picture looks awesome. I would, however, keep the tap thing in or make his ability cost 2 or something because of the point Static made.

I think I might do that. I was thinking the other day about the number of abuses this thing would have.
Defender + Atog + Artifact Creatures Defender + Pentavus Defender + Husk Etc.
I think I'm also gonna lower it to a 1/1, to make it easier to kill.
So it'll probably read like this: Defender of the Meek 2W Creature - Human Cleric WW, T: If target creature you control is sacrificed this turn, return it to play under your control. 1/1
The double W makes it more necessary to play W (thus harder to abuse), and the 1/1 makes it more susceptible to burn and some of the removal I'm gonna put in the set. (ie Toughness Based, like Ghastly Demise.)
I've also got 2 U "Screw the whole game over" cards:
Mass Exodus 6UUU Instant Put all creatures on top of their owner's library in any order.
and....
Planar Regression 8UUUU Sorcery Put all permanents on top of their owner's library in any order.
Tell me if you think they need to be tweaked, they're fine, or they're silly and should never see the light of day. I'm also still accepting card submissions and art submissions. Keep 'em comin' people!

Behold, the fixed defender of the Meek: And also, a taste of some of the powerful equipment in the set: What do you think? Good? Bad? Etc?

hey guys, id like to help. i was wondering though, do you have a theme for this set? like Onslaught had creatures, Mirrodin had artifacts. also, are there any mechanics you are planning to use in this set? this information will help me help you.

Do I have a theme? Not really. Not yet at least.
Do I have mechanics? Well, there's the ones listed on page 2, Provoke (which I forgot), and any I others I forgot. As for block mechanics, well, RoB suggested Exemption, which might be useful, but otherwise I have nothing.

Shield is pretty damn good, I'd personally make it 3 life during the upkeep to balance it out a bit. I got an interesting idea. Maybe you guys can build off of it. Mechanized Wings, 1 , Enchant Artifact This can only enchant an equipment artifact. Enchanted artifact gains "Equipped creature gains flying" So, as mechanized wings give flying, could have something like mechanized spikes (red) give +2/+0... mechanized something white give +0/+2, etc.

It should read, then "Enchant Equipment" if it can only enchant an equipment. Good idea. I may just use it.
And perhaps 3 life would be better....hmm...-=Takes it to thought=-

Equipment is a subtype, though, and I'm pretty sure that an enchantment can only specify card type in it's type. May sound confusing, but it's the simplest thing I can come up with. But, essentially what I'm saying, is you couldn't have an enchant equipment card, you'd have to make it an enchant artifact card that could only enchant equipment, just like you can't have a card that is of the type "Enchant Goblin".

Says who?
This is magic. Rules are meant to be broken, silly.
Besides, I don't think anyone's gonna confuse it or anything, whereas Goblin's a creature type and creature types are pretty easily changeable.

heh... That's weird. The only other local enchantment that I know of that doesn't go by card type is Dance of the Dead, which is an "Enchant Dead Creature"

Actually, I just got an interesting idea. Once you're done your set, could have some sort of online sealed deck tournament that combines your set with mine, or possibly a "block" tournament that combines them. Apprentice could be used with that.

Interesting.
I don't know if combining the two sets in a block would work well....but a tournament betwixt the two sets would definitely be cool.
I do plan on eventually making a second and third set, too, to make it a full block.

Target Practice, 1U, Instant Target target that targets only a single target targets target target instead of target target's original target.
Clearer, but less fun wording:
Target spell or ability that targets only a single target targets another target instead.
