I'm not sure what time it is in Germany when the server's go down for weekly maintainance. For me it's like around 2:00 AM to 1:00 PM... That's what it's supposed to be anyways, occasionaly they take longer.

No, it takes much much longer than that LK. Trust me, I played WoW everyday all summer. Tuesdays were the only time you'd see me on Warcraft 3.

Maybe it's a gateway thing?

What time zone are you in LK? Becaue if your in Eastern there's no way what you're saying is accurate. And plus, all servers go down/up more or less at the same time.

Well, I played over Christmas break and for the last week inbetween semesters. I joined a new guild, as my old one kind of fell apart, but didn't. Anyways, in my new guild I finally got to explore Molten Core, which is one of the game's hardest instances. An instance is an area where the game saves your character in your group to the instance, and you have to defeat a series of bosses etc. Anyways, this particular instance takes around 35-40 people working together perfectly to do. It also drops some of the best items in the game. It was a tonne of fun, but sadly I have to quit again because of school.

Seriously, Meggy, try WoW. You'll really enjoy it, I promise.
Also, anyone playing should create a character on the Mannoroth server, 'cause that's where me and a bunch of other people I know play. We're awesome.
My name, in the game, is Uurtak. I'm a Troll Mage. I have a raptor. Her name is Raptor.

Yes Bass, you suck too. As soon as i get a job the first thing on my "get this, you forktard" list will be a new computer that doesn't suck, followed by a decent internet connection and WoW. Of course with my minimum wage job paying for a decent internet connection and a monthly WoW fee will suck me dry and i'll have to live off of Whopper Jrs, but thats ok, because i'll be playing WoW, and WoW = happiness. I have read so much of the blizzard site about this game that i might possibly know more about it than people that actually play it, and i already know that if i could actually play, i'd probably have a Tauren Shaman and then maybe a Troll Hunter or something. Me = loser...and with my lack of WoW... me - WoW = Sad loser Also, if you don't like the monthly fee, you could always play Runescape...its free (or $5 a month for members features) and is also an addictive MMORPG

I've had people try to get me into Runescape before, to no avail. I've played "free" MMORPGs before (See: Project Entropia, Adventure Quest), and they're just not as good. Runescape, from what I've seen, isn't horrible, but it also doesn't compare to WoW.
Shamans are quality and tend to piss people off. Hunters are also quality and can do cool things, like train pets (even elite monsters, which is fun).
So, yeah, whatever.

I've played Adventure Quest. Its terrible. Alot of free MMORPGs do tend to suck, but you should atleast try Runescape out for a couple weeks to see how you like it. I havn't played WoW, but it seems to be very much alike, just without the races. The graphics aren't thre greatest...but its free and its browser-based so no downloading. ...so, yea, whatever. Yes, i've read that people tend to dislike shamans, although i had already decided on a Tauren Shaman before i read it. Does anyone know the must minimalist of all minimal specs you can have to run this game smoothly? I've been looking into PCs but it seems anything decent costs $900 and up. I saw a few "budget gamer PCs" going for arround $500 but i didn't know if it could handle something like WoW. I couldn't find a link but i read that this should be enough power and it costs a small $450. Note: No, i would not buy this at Wal-Mart, just using this computer as an example

There should be specs at the WoW website that tell you what you need.
Also, if you go through the an outlet store (Dell has one online - computers that were built and then the order canceled) you can get the actual computer itself (not mouse or monitor or anything) for pretty cheap. Mine's a pretty good machine and the compy itself only cost me about $500.
