Yea well, i took one look at Iname, Death Aspect and went straight to eM to build this deck. I don't know if it interacts with Lifeline the way i'm thinking it does...but if it does work, i think this deck has some potential...maybe. Anywho, check it out, www.essentialmagic.com/Decks/View.asp?ID=309227I'm sure there are better spirits, i just picked some random cool ones ;D Oh, and if i'm looking at it right, i'm pretty sure 2 Kokusho, Evening Stars=death at end of turn. 10 life lost when they first hit play, then at end of turn when their brought back with Lifeline, its another 10. w00t

notice that Lifeline says "Whenever a creature is put into your graveyard from play...". if you think Iname with Lifeline in play will put all your spirits into play, you are wrong. also, if you have Lifeline and a Kokusho in play, then play another, it will only hit for 20 if you have one other creature in play. along with (or instead of) Lifeline, try Patriarch's Bidding, but after a Bidding, Lifeline isnt usually necessary unless you are going specifically for the Kokusho kill. there are many directions i could see this deck go, but the one i think you are going for wont work.

Dammit Kemy >_< I thought the EXACT same thing (with the lifeline being replaced with the bidding) after i posted...but didn't have time to fix it...and then when i get back...BAH, you just HAD to post >_< Yea, it still works with the bidding, i'll be sure to change that

You DO realize that the Myojin don't get their Divinity counters when they don't come from your hand, right?
Just so you know.

4 Eternal Dragon- these beat quite well, but are nearly pointless in a deck with all swamps. knowing that these are spirits makes me want to make this a W/B deck. it would also be nice to have the landcycle ability when you need it, and you will with this kinda mana curve.
4 Iname, Death Aspect- Obvious.
2 Jugan, the Rising Star- i have a tough time accepting that you will be able to handle having dead cards like this in your hand. sure its cool, but the only way you can have this hit play is to resolve a Bidding, in which case it should already be game. For the purpose of surviving til you actually can resolve a Bidding, it is ok to run subpar spirits over supercool, useless spirits.
4 Kokusho, the Evening Star- Duh. its game. but dont rely on this because you could easily get one in your hand, slowing your combo down considerably.
3 Myojins- to specify what Bass said, these will only get the counters if you play them from your hand, not just if hey come into play from your hand. things like Tooth and Nail wont work. so neither does Bidding. take them out.
4 Phantom Nishoba- not bad, but i kinda lean on the point i made about Jugan.
3 Thousand-Legged Kami- ditto^
4 Dark Ritual- acceleration is good. i think there could be better choices for playability's sake, but this can easily stay.
4 Patriarchs Bidding- duh
4 Demonic Tutor- i guess. i mean, its a tutor in a combo deck, but it seems to be more evidence that the deck isnt playable outside of the combo. i mean, Cranial Extraction for Iname or even Bidding kinda shuts you down. i think some cards that lay out early threats or decent control cards would go better, or at least be more fun, in these spots.
4 Mortal Combat- second win condition. useful, but as i said, second win condition. you dont need 4. 2 should do you just fine.
Final Diagnosis: -2 Jugan -3 Myojin -4 Nishoba -3 T-L Kami -4 Tutor -2 Mortal Combat
+2 Hikari, Twilight Guardian- just a solid creature. +3 Gutwrencher Oni- also solid. the discard is nice if you cant get to an Iname. +2 Gibbering Kami- i couldnt find any spirits better. they have evasion and their Soulshift ability could work well with the Zubera. iffy. +4 Ashen-Skin Zubera- their discard can get annoying. +3 Vindicate- removal that literally > all. +2 Sensei's Divining Top- awesomeness. you can look at what you are getting and if you find something you want, rearrange and draw.
Land suggestions: 5 Plains, 17 Swamps. you have a pretty high mana curve, so 22 should be your bare minimum lands. ive added cards that you can drop early (Zubera), creatures that you can play even if you dont go off (Oni, Hikari), control (Vindicate, Zubera), and quick, efficient, versatile digging power (Top).
sorry if i destroyed your dreams for the deck, but this is the direction i would take the combo idea.

Thief of Hope.
Just...do it.
It's a low cc spirit, so Soulshift will work with it nicely. It uses Spiritcraft, so even though it won't trigger when you use Bidding to get them all back, it will work off the ones you cast before that, and may keep you alive until then.
It's sexy.
