Somehow a briefcase full of chickens doesn't look so appealing anymore...
We'd all have to buy bigger wallets:o

I've personally run out of ideas for this particular topic.

I didn't bother to read the rest, so I'm not responding to individual posts, justthe man question.
Wanna know what's wrong with the world? One word:
Capitalism

Oh Christ, you MUST be kidding?
I told greenmaster this on eM and I'm telling you this here...Capitalism has NOTHING to do with what is right or wrong in the world - it's the morals of the people in the system. If people were morons in socialism or anarchy or whatever, the world would still suck. Blaming everything on Capitalism is a just an easy way for whiny teenagers to make it seem like the big rich guy down the street is the one responsible for their suffering, instead of blaming it on themselves, which they should. The world doesn't suck because of capitalism.
You wanna know the real reason the world sucks? HUMAN BEINGS

Human beings act and react the way they do because of the system they live, and are raised in, so don't give me that shit. And talk about whiny, you're one to talk with how you've been acting lately.

This is the debate forum, silly. We're SUPPOSED to argue. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/549948/images/QNICkmsxRMbizhF0RVal.gif) And I'm not going to get into it further, because Capitalism has its ups and downs but Socialism is untested so no one knows what the Fork would happen. THerefore, we drop it. YAY. And it's not the system we live in. We were asshats under feudalism, dictatorship, monarchy, republics, and democracy. There's NO reason to assume we won't be under socialism.

Yes, we were asshats under those systems....wanna know why?
They were based on capitalism!
Everything that has been tried has failed. Don't say capitalism works, when it's obvious it doesn't. As long as there are ppl starving and there are wars, a system doesn't work.
Socialism changes that. No wars because there's nothing to fight over. No starvation because there's enough food for everyone, and no one is hoarding or destroying it. No destitute because there is no money, thus no requirement for having a house.

Hi. I live in Canada. People don't starve here unless they choose not to eat, but that's called anorexia, not capitalism. In addition, we haven't fought in a non-UN sanctioned war since...well since WWII.

I didn't even know Canada was involved in THAT war, Elfie. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/549948/images/QNICkmsxRMbizhF0RVal.gif) And Morb, I'm all for socialism, but dial it back a little there -- I'm not about to live outside. There's always need for a house.

Um...good for you. I never said anything about not needing houses.
I said no requirement for having one...as in no money needed to obtain one, or good credit, or any of that bs we have now.

I didn't even know Canada was involved in THAT war, Elfie. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/549948/images/QNICkmsxRMbizhF0RVal.gif) Ummm...We liberated The Netherlands, fought at D-Day, and we were there before the Americans were. Morb - The idea of socialism sounds ok to me, but I don't like the fact that if I become successful in my life and job, I can't benefit from this, because my money can go to some idiot who is too lazy to get a good job. And Morb, there will always be wars, nothing in the entire world can stop that fact.

So, my American friends, let me ask you this:
When did WWII start?

I can't benefit from this, because my money can go to some idiot who is too lazy to get a good job.
THERE IS NO MONEY IN SOCIALISM!!!!! AAAAARRRRGHHH!!!!!
And no one will be lazy, and if they are, they'd end up being unhappy, because everyone around them will be working, and enjoying their work.
And to Elfie, 1938 or 9, not sure technically which, but I believe Hitler began invading his neighbors in late 38 or early 39.

Good. So many Americans say 1941 because that's when the U.S. joined. They forget that the Allies (including Canada, Piñata) had already been fighting for two years because they knew Nazism needed to be stopped.

WWII officially started on September 1, 1939, when Nazi Germany invaded Poland. However, there'd been many other Nazi incursions into nearby countries such as Czechoslovakia(sp).

Good. So many Americans say 1941 because that's when the U.S. joined. They forget that the Allies (including Canada, Piñata) had already been fighting for two years because they knew Nazism needed to be stopped. you really think that all Americans are so stupid that they couldn't find their way out of bed without Canadian help, don't you? Most Americans I know that are old enough to have had some schooling on the subject know that the U.S. did not enter World War II until several years after it started. And I find it perfectly acceptable that while Americans know this fact, some acknowledge the start of WWII as Dec 7,1941. After all, that is when the country that they live in and love got involved in the war. And Bass, you were correct on your spelling of Czechoslovakia, even though you're American.
